Setting up pile-cap bolts to receive posts
Setting up pile-cap bolts to receive posts

The Hatch, Greywell Road, Mapledurwell, Basingstoke.

The scheme was designed to reduce M3 noise nuisance to new commercial and residential properties. The work consisted of 2 - 3 metre high concrete slabs, retaining a loose formed earth bund on the motorway side, with 3 - 5 mete high Betta Reflective Acoustic Barrier above.

The Betta Group carried out the scheme in conjunction with Bewley Homes PLC, Consulting Structural Engineers Stuart Michael Associates and Milbury Systems Limited.

The Betta Group co-ordinated the work, designing the steel posts to incorporate not only the acoustic barrier but also the concrete retaining slabs designed and installed by Milbury Systems.

With very tight tolerances, the work required good communications between Stuart Michael Associates, Bewley Homes, Milbury Systems and The Betta Group.
