Betta Absorptive Acoustic Barrier With Steel Absorptive Face And Timbered Rear Face.
A 6.0 metre high Betta Absorptive Acoustic Barrier plus a crank in corporate colours.
The absorptive face consisted of a breathable black membrane and galvanised and powder coated perforated steel sheets with matching trims. The perforated steel sheets with an 45% open aperture, maintained the absorptive performance of the barrier.
The universal beam posts and the two rolled hollow section crowd control rails, were also galvanised and powder coated.
The reverse side of the barrier was timber clad to soften the appearance of the structure to residential homes behind.
The design brief incorporated changing ground and top line datum levels, the latter stipulated by the planning authority. The second photograph shows this aspect of the project.
The third photograph is a close up of the absorptive face showing perforated steel sheets, flat trims and crowd control rail.
The standard Betta Absorptive Acoustic Barrier, during laboratory tests, was given a sound insulation rate of 26 dB and classified as category B3 in accordance with BS EN 1793-2:1998 and 20 dB sound absorption, category A4, in accordance with BS EN 1793-1:1998.
It should be noted the Betta Group can design and install any height of Barrier to meet a client's need.
