A 4.0 metre high Betta Absorptive Acoustic Barrier with base plated galvanised universal beam posts bolted, with chemical anchors, to an existing concrete transport yard.
The absorptive face consisted of a black breathable membrane, fine black weldmesh and 17 chamfered timber trim finish. A tougher industrial finish where visual impact was not so important, would have been a black breathable membrane and a heavy galvanised weldmesh.
The design brief for the reverse side was to match the profiled steel cladding of the neighbours building.
The standard Betta Absorptive Acoustic Barrier, during laboratory tests, was given a sound insulation rate of 26 dB and classified as category B3 in accordance with BS EN 1793-2:1998 and 20 dB sound absorption, category A4, in accordance with BS EN 1793-1:1998.
It should be noted the Betta Group can design and install any height of Barrier to meet a client's need.
